BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH, ELGIN

The Bethlehem Lutheran Church Endowment Board has given Ecker a $1,600 grant to be used for psychiatry services.  For someone who is severely depressed, a psychiatry appointment and prescriptions for medication could mean the difference between life and death. As a result of their gift. Ecker Center will be able to schedule appointments for 16 individuals requiring psychiatric services. Thank you!

HARVEY AND ETHEL DAEUMER FOUNDATION

Thank you to the Harvey and Ethel Daeumer Foundation for their generous donation of $10,000 in support of psychiatry services. Their substantial and on-going support allows us to provide much needed psychiatric care for adults, children and adolescents. Psychiatry is an expensive service, and due to the cancellation of the State’s psychiatry grant, we need help in supplementing the unreimbursed costs of psychiatry services. With the Harvey and Ethel Daeumer Foundation’s generous assistance, we will be able to provide 100 psychiatry appointments.

UNITED WAY OF METROPOLITAN CHICAO

Thank you to the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago for their generous grant of $25,000 for comprehensive services including psychiatry, nursing, therapy, case management, psychosocial rehabilitation and the Psychiatric Emergency Program. With their on-going help we are able to provide many hours of a variety of needed services to individuals of all ages throughout the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago’s geographic footprint.

 ST. CHARLES NOON KIWANIS FOUNDATION

St. Charles Noon Kiwanis Foundation has awarded $1,500 to benefit the agency’s Psychiatric Emergency Program (PEP). The PEP Program operates 24 hours a day every day of the year at Advocate Sherman Hospital. The PEP program helps people of all ages who are experiencing psychiatric emergencies caused by mental illness or, in some cases, drug or alcohol abuse. The St. Charles Noon Kiwanis Foundation's grant will support services to St. Charles' children and adolescents in need of psychiatric emergency care.  Thank you!

UNITED WAY OF ELGIN

Thank you to the United Way of Elgin for their generous grant of $20,000 for Therapy Services. With their help we are able to offer more individual and group counseling sessions to adults, children, adolescents and families in need.

GRAND VICTORIA FOUNDATION

Thank you to the Grand Victoria Foundation for their generous donation of $25,000 for general operating support. Their substantial and on-going support allows us to provide much needed services for adults, children and adolescents. “We will use a general operating grant to support our most critical operations that are in most need of financial support” said Ecker Center’s CEO, Karen Beyer.

COSMOPOLITAN CLUB OF ELGIN

The Cosmopolitan Club of Elgin has given Ecker a $1,500 grant to be used for psychiatry services.  Psychiatry services are desperately needed. With the help of the medications our psychiatry providers prescribe, our clients are able to live in the community. As a result of their gift. Ecker Center will be able to schedule appointments for 15 individuals requiring psychiatric services. Thank you!

                              CITY OF ST. CHARLES MENTAL HEALTH BOARD

Ecker Center has received a grant from the City of St. Charles Mental Health Board totaling $65,600 to support Psychiatry, Therapy, Case Management and Psychiatric Emergency Services for City of St. Charles residents. Ecker Center's comprehensive array of mental health services help adults, children and adolescents with moderate to severe mental illnesses. Thank you!

HANOVER TOWNSHIP MENTAL HEALTH BOARD

Ecker Center has received a grant from the Hanover Township Mental Health Board totaling $97,000 for Crisis and Therapy Services for township residents. These services include the Psychiatric Emergency Program, Crisis Residential Program, counseling, psychiatry, nursing, intake, case management, intensive outpatient, community support and psychosocial rehabilitation services. Our largest funder, the State of Illinois, has gradually eliminated its grant funding for many of these programs and for sliding fee scale clients, which makes it extremely difficult to provide these needed services without additional funding.   KIWANIS CLUB OF ELGIN

Ecker Center for Mental Health was one of several social service organizations serving children that received grants from the Kiwanis Club of Elgin.  The generous $2,000 grant will be used for children’s therapy services. “We treat youth with depression, anxiety, phobias, suicidal thoughts and other psychiatric issues,” said Ecker CEO Karen Beyer. "Children function better at home, in school and in their communities as a result of this service." Thank you!

 FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, ELGIN

Ecker Center has received a $2,700 grant from the First Congregational Church of Christ in Elgin.  The funds will be used to support our child psychiatry and counseling services.  “The church’s generosity will help us replace a portion of the psychiatry grants which Illinois eliminated in 2015,” said Karen Beyer, CEO.  ELGIN TOWNSHIP

The Town of Elgin has awarded Ecker Center a $60,000 grant to support the following services for  township residents in the following areas: psychiatry, nursing, psychotherapy, psychosocial rehabilitation, case management, community crisis evaluation, intervention, referral and support, and crisis, supported and supervised residences. Thank you!

 CITY OF GENEVA MENTAL HEALTH BOARD

Ecker Center has received a grant from the City of Geneva Mental Health Board totaling $32,000 to support a percentage of overhead costs for Ecker’s Tri-City office as well as other overhead costs including insurance, utilities, computer services, billing system, accounting and legal services, maintenance, vehicles, office equipment and supplies, and staff training. All of these overhead costs support provision of our services to City of Geneva residents. AMITA HEALTH, ALEXIAN BROTHERS

Thank you to Amita Health/Alexian Brothers for their generous donation of $45,000 over 3 years in support of childrens’ psychiatry services. Their substantial and on-going support allowed us to expand Ecker Center’s child and adolescent psychiatry program by increasing our existing psychiatrist hours and availability to the underserved Medicaid community. With Amita Health/Alexian Brothers’ help we have improved functioning and symptom reduction for many more youth with diagnosed mental illnesses.
