8th Annual Festival of Trees October 27
thru November 8, 2008 Ecker Center's eighth annual "Festival of Trees" fund-raiser will be held in November. Individuals and businesses will sponsor and decorate approximately 25 artificial Christmas trees in heights of 7 and 3 feet. The trees will be on display at the Gail Borden Library in Elgin from October 27 thru November 7, during regular hours of the library. The trees will be available for sale at the library prior t o the Gala Event. Trees not pre-sold will be live auctioned to the highest bidder at the Gala Event on Saturday, November 8 at the Chicago Marriott Northwest in Hoffman Estates. Save the date! In addition to the decorated trees genuine pearl earrings will be sold for $20, beginning in October, at:

& For each pair of pearl earrings you purchase, you will be entered in the raffle drawing at the Gala for a 14K white gold "Diamond-In-A-Pearl pendant with 0.04 carat diamond, on 18-inch chain, designed by Galatea Jewelry Creations and a matching 14K white gold "Diamond-In-A-Pearl" pierced earrings with 0.08carat total diamond weight. Again this year, the small trees will be sold in silent auction. The Holiday Marketplace will be returning. Select local artisans will be at the event selling their merchandise to assist you with your holiday shopping. Ecker is asking area businesses and individuals to help support our fund-raiser by sponsoring a tree and/or decorating a tree, or choosing one of the other sponsorship opportunities that follows.
