    Alcohol, Tobacco & Other Drugs (ATOD) Prevention Services Ecker's ATOD Prevention Services provide programming in schools and throughout the community to prevent underage drinking, vaping & illicit drug use, decrease risk factors, and increase protective measures in the community. ​ Prevention Specialists work collaboratively with other community-based organizations to help make our community a safer, healthier place for children to grow up. Programs held during health classes and after school that empower youth through education include: Alcohol Awareness Month activities Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute (CGTI) Communication campaigns to prevent underage alcohol use & vaping Generation RX Leadership Empowerment And Development (LEAD) summer program National Prevention Week activities Operation Snowball program Red Ribbon Week activities Too Good For Drugs program Vaping Cessation Education program Youth Empowering Students (YES) program Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in our Parent Universities, which are presentations to educate parents on current trends, signs of drug & alcohol use, prevention strategies, and resources to obtain help.   • Intake & Assessments | Ecker Center for Behavioral Health

    ​ Calling Ecker's Intake Line is the first step to receive treatment at any of our locations. Our Intake & Assessment Team provides treatment recommendations and referrals to individuals who need mental health, substance use disorder, and/or gambling disorder services. What to Expect During the Intake Process Our Intake Team acts as the first contact for new clients by returning calls on our Intake Line and meeting with clients to get started. Our Assessment Team provides Mental Health Assessments, Reassessments, and Individual Treatment Planning. New clients need to provide insurance information, proof of income, and a photo ID. The next step is to complete new client intake paperwork and speak with an Intake/Assessment Specialist.     Insurance & Fees Our belief at Ecker Center is that behavioral healthcare should be accessible and affordable for everyone. We are committed to providing personalized and compassionate treatment to all individuals, regardless of their residency, insurance status, or financial capability. ​ Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid-MCO, and some private insurance is accepted for all behavioral health services deemed medically necessary. Copays are required at time of service. Reduced fees for self-pay clients are available on sliding fee scale based on household income.
