Supervised Residential Program (SRP)

Building Stability, Independence, and Community Connections

Ecker Center's Supervised Residential Program (SRP) provides a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused living environment where adults with complex mental health needs can build stability, strengthen life skills, increase independence, and develop meaningful connections within their community.

 

SRP combines 24-hour staff support, individualized services, and skill development opportunities in a home-like setting designed to promote recovery, wellness, and personal growth.

What is SRP?

SRP is a structured residential program that offers:

  • 24-hour staff support and supervision

  • Individualized recovery-focused services

  • Life skills development

  • Community integration opportunities

  • Access to behavioral health treatment and support services

 

Residents receive personalized support while working toward their own goals and developing the skills needed for greater independence.

What Makes SRP Different?

Recovery-Focused Care

Services are centered on each person's strengths, goals, preferences, and vision for recovery.

Home-Like Environment

Residents live in a supportive residential setting that encourages personal growth, responsibility, and community living.

Individualized Support

Each resident receives services tailored to their unique needs and recovery goals.

Comprehensive Services

Residents may participate in additional Ecker Center services including therapy, psychiatric care, wellness programming, psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR), and crisis support.

Skill Building for Independence

Support is focused on helping residents gain confidence and develop practical skills for daily living.

Services Provided

Recovery and Wellness

  • Recovery planning and goal development

  • Medication education and support

  • Coordination of medical and psychiatric care

  • Case management services

  • Access to therapy and behavioral health services

Independent Living Skills

  • Daily living skills development

  • Meal planning and cooking

  • Nutrition education

  • Budgeting and money management

  • Household responsibilities

  • Representative payee support, when appropriate

Community Engagement

  • Social skills development

  • Community outings and activities

  • Support groups and wellness programming

  • Building natural supports and community connections

Who May Benefit from SRP?

SRP may be a good fit for adults who:

  • Would benefit from a structured and supportive living environment

  • Are working toward greater independence

  • Need additional support while pursuing recovery goals

  • Want to strengthen daily living skills

  • Would benefit from increased community involvement and connection

  • Meet program eligibility requirements

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older

  • Have active Medicaid coverage

  • Have a qualifying mental health diagnosis and meet program eligibility requirements

  • Have a reliable source of income and provide income verification

  • Be willing to engage in recommended treatment and rehabilitation services

  • Be willing to participate in community-based activities and services

  • Be able to safely navigate stairs independently

  • Be willing to share living space with a roommate

  • Be willing and able to participate in household responsibilities

  • Participate in psychiatric and behavioral health services through Ecker Center or another approved provider

 

Participation Fee

Residents contribute 30% of their monthly income toward housing-related supports, meals, and household supplies.

Substance Use Considerations

SRP is not designed for individuals who currently require:

  • Detoxification services

  • Withdrawal management

  • Residential substance use treatment


Individuals with a history of substance use may be considered when actively engaged in recovery supports and able to maintain recovery within the residential setting.

Referral Information

Referrals are accepted from:

  • Individuals and families

  • Hospitals and discharge planners

  • Behavioral health providers

  • Community organizations

  • Case managers and care coordinators

Referral Documentation Requested

Please provide:

  • Most recent psychiatric evaluation

  • History and Physical

  • Proof of income

  • Insurance card

  • Relevant treatment records or clinical documentation
